The Smith County ESD2 and its volunteer departments consist of outstanding men and women from different backgrounds but, all have one thing in common, an overwhelming desire to serve our community. Currently, we have over 300 members covering an area of 712 square miles of Smith County. We provide emergency fire, medical, and rescue services to our citizens.

Due to the nature of the service we provide, we conduct drug screening, baseline physicals, and criminal background checks.
